I'm a massive fan of NARS cosmetics, do I was really excited when I found out that they launched a skin care collection on Saturday.
The vision of the range is to capture the power of light, bringing youthful luminosity to your complexion. What causes your skin to 'glow' is the way it reflects light and to maximise this, NARSskin contains Light-Active Micro-Prisms which are combined with algae extract and Polynesian seawater. These ingredients help to boost clarity and infuse skin with moisture and minerals.
The lovely girls at NARS sent me a selection of products from the new collection to try out for you; the packaging is just what you'd expect stylish and simple, which helps to make you feel spoilt when your using them. The gentle cream cleanser removes all traces of makeup from the skin (I haven't tried water-proof mascara) without stripping the skin of moisture, which is due to the inclusion of chamomile, which leaves the skins oft and supple.
Usually I'm not a fan of toners and they dry out my skin, however, the NARSskin multi-action hydrating toner is alcohol free so gently exfoliates without removing moisture.
The final product I've tried is the luminous moisture cream, which is luxuriously tricky is consistency for 24-hour intense hydration. The formula contai ns Beech Bud Extract to boost collagen production and potent antioxidants to combat free radical damage.
I was hoping the products to have a spa-like aroma, however the delicately fragrance of a modem take on the 'timeless rose' fell slightly short of my high expectations.
I would love to try the signature product; optimal brightening concentrate, an advanced radiance-boosting serum which claims to brightens skin and revitalizes the complexion.
I can't wait to see what other little delights will come from NARSskin in the future!
