Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette

urban decay naked smoky

The Urban Decay Naked palettes are heralded as THE eyeshadows to own. I have to admit, although I have lusted after of the original Naked trilogy of palettes, I had yet to own one. So when the latest addition Naked Smoky (£38 John Lewis) popped through my letter box I was very excited.

Firstly, the packaging is gorgeous, the smoke effect on the box is repeated on the chucky plastic with the name embossed on the surface. Inside, a super sized mirror is really helpful for application away from your dressing table and a deep infill of each shadow is named ready to be sampled. I was also super impressed by the brush - normally brushes that come with pallets aren't very soft and are pretty ineffective. This however, has a shadow brush for sweeping base colours across your lip and blending along with a smudge brush.

The range of shades are gorgeous and all really useable and wearable with excellent pigmentation and stating power. On lazy days, the two far right nudes (Combust and Thirteen) I use alone, or add in the dark browns and greys (l love Whiskey, Password and the dark purple Smolder) to give a quick smoky eye. If I have more time on my hands, I follow one of the 4  different tutorials to create different smoky looks.

This pallet is great for make up lovers who spend time on their eye makeup, or if you just want a bit more help to get glam with a smoky eye!
