Christmas Table

Last year I hosted Christmas day for the first time and went to town making christmas cake, minces piece, stuffing etc. but the part I enjoyed most was styling my dining table ready for the meal of the year. Although we are off to my parent's this year I hosted my school friends last weekend for Christmas afternoon tea, so I got a chance to dec out my table again, with of course a few new additions and details.

My kitchen is a palette of greys and my tree in that room is all silver and white (see my post on some of my new decorations here) so, I followed the theme with my table layout too.

Lots of silver, a few sparkles and stars with a  collection of scandi candles made it feel super festive.  I like to make a fuss of everyone plate, so I made place name out of clear baubles and silver stick on letters that act as a little take home give too. Adding tiny scandal lanterns on each setting and little gifts will make your guests feel super special too.

We sipped on prosecco, ate far too many nibbles, finger sandwiches and cakes whist reminiscing about our old school days and catching up on the latest gossip, whist cuddling the latest addition to our group. An excellent afternoon.
