Miami Nails: Butter London Primrose Hill Picnic

Hey there from Miami! To celebrate the return of mr BMB frim his 6 mounth 'holiday' I have whisked him away to the sun drenched beach city of Miami. Yesterday, on the morning of departure I decided that my dark green nails were not right for sunnier climbs and my shellac had started to chip (excessive paint brush cleaning) and have last minute removal. Too late to get my nails re-done (I normally insist on a holiday shellac) I grabbed a few bottles of fun summer colours to pop into my case.

So this morning wholst mr BMB hit the gym I brushed on  couple of coats of the super gorgeous bright pink from Butter London - named primrose hill picnic, it is such a happy, summery colour. Love it!

It totally looks the part and is a great cployr splash against my black bikini as I currently type from my lounger in South beach. Sorry - couldnt resisit...!

Mani Monday: Ted Baker Nails

A bit of a cope out today on mani monday, as I am still rocking my serene green shellac and it is too dark to pop another polish over (i have tried!) so this week I thought I would share some fabulous nail wraps and fake nails from Ted Baker.

I have attempted nail art a few times, but I think its best to leave it too the proffesionals, using press on manicures to cheat the look. These gorgeous florals are stunning and would look fabulous against decadent autumn/winter fabrics and muted colours. The designs are taken from the best selling patterns found on Ted Baker fashion, why shouldn't your finger tips enjoy them too?!

Top left: artificial nails based on the ....Orchid print, Top right and bottom left: artificial nails and wraps based on thr Bejewelled Wing print. Bottom right: nail wraps based on the Bird Branch print.

I cant wait to give these gorgeous nail designs a try (especially the Treasures Orchid!) and will keep you updated on how they go. The artificial nails* (£8) and nail wraps* (£7.50) are each avaliable in gour different designs from Boots.

Daniel Sandler Watercolour fluid blusher

Last Tuesday I was invited up to town toattend  the launch of Daniel Sandler's latest offering to his make up collection. Having never heard of the brand previously, I jumped at the chance to hear more.

You wont find this salon brand at your local chemist, but from havibg a play with the products, it is worth keeping a look out for, with highly pigmented eyeshadows and foundation with mayching concelor in the lid - a sensation!

I'm not too skilled at applying cream blush, I tend to end up with a bit of a patchy mess, so was pretty reserved about trying the new Watercolour Fluid Blush* (£15.50), which is a very thin liquid. But I was really pleasantly surprised, using the Waterbrush* (£15.50) to dab and blend, my foundation and powder bronzer stayed put whist I worked the pinkie tones into my cheeks.

It is super easy to apply, and apart from washing  the execess of your hand, takes no longer than a regular blush without powdery looking cheeks. A new fav.

Mani Monday: CND Shellac Charmed Christmas Collection

I preparation for the boy returning, this weekend I headed to my favourite beauticians to get my nails looking lovely. New therapist Liz at The Little Palour in Weybridge showed me the lastest new CND shellac colours from their 'Charmed Chrsitmas' collection - a group of rich and regal shades. I just about managed to resist having a nail in each shade and settled on Serene Green, a super rich opulent emerald.
I have had a few moments when I worry i look like a fairy tale wicked queen, but its also part of the charm and is so deep and luxe, fabulous for autumn and winter.

Last christmas Ruby Ritz was realeased as a limited edition, which I rocked throughout the festive season, so I wasreally  pleased to see this fav shade of mine back in the Charmed Christmas Collection, lets hope it is here to stay!
