Cat Deeley and Pantene Pro-V Fine Hair Aqua Light
To celebrate the launch of new Pantene Aqua Light products, celebrity ambassador Cat Deeley has taken to the ocean for these gorgeous snaps.
Despite being her first underwater shoot Cat looks beautifully ethereal...
The lovely ladies at Pantene sent me the latest offerings, especially designed for fine hair (like mine!) which help to add volume and nourishment without weighing your locks down.
Here's a little summary of the new goodies which are all priced at £4.49:
Here's a little summary of the new goodies which are all priced at £4.49:
Pantene Pro-V 24h – Lite Nourishment Leave-in Conditioner: A lightweight foam that helps to strengthen hair against styling damage whilst deeply nourishing your tresses.
Pantene Pro-V Volume Booster Spray Gel: Weightless spray gel helps to create the lasting volume you want starting at the root. Special polymers help protect hair during blow drying and provide protection from humidity, which helps keep the volume.
Pantene Pro-V Instant Nourishing Spray: a versatile nourishing spray which I love to spray in the mid lengths to improve condition and the smell is amazing!

The best apes ski: La Folie Douce Meribel
A slight variation from my usual posts, I thought I'd share a beautiful place full of beautiful people I discovered on my Christmas ski trip to the three valleys in the French Alps.
If you regularly hit the slopes, undoubtedly you will pop into the bar at the bottom of your valley after your final run for a cheeky vin chaud before heading back to your chalet, but this season I found some après that was even more exciting...
Mr blogmebeautiful and I headed to the La Tania (between Courchevel and Meribel) and our chalet hosts (from snow retreat) let us in on the biggest secret hidden in the alps.
Although entrance is free, drinks are pricey, however when you are sipping on your g&t looking out on the amazing view, it's worth every penny!
La Folie Douce Meribel opened this season, but can open found in Val D'Isere and Val Thorens where the beautiful people will be taking a break from the powder. You might even spot a few famous faces - Made In Chelsea's Binky was at the table next to us on our first visit!

Open until 4.30pm the slope side bar is filled with pumping music and cabaret where skiers slide in for a few drinks and dancing on tales, before heading down the slope, slightly tipsy to Meribel.
The atmosphere is electric, with neon clad dancers and singers keeping you entertained in the frosty sunshine.

Girlz Only dry shampoo
I am a massive fan of dry shampoo and have waxed lyrically about Batiste frequently. However, I have discovered another brand of dry shampoo that I'm also loving.
Girlz Only works in a similar way to Batiste, absorbing the excess oils in the roots, which can then be brush out, leaving your locks refreshed and the volume plumped up. However, I think Girlz Only has a more light-weight formulae than Batiste, meaning less residue is left in your hair which after numerous applications can build up on the scalp. This does result in a slightly less efficient absorbency of oils, so you can weigh up what strength you need! I love to use Girlz Only later on the days that I wash my hair, and Batiste on the in between days!
The fragrances of Girlz Only are more subtle than Batiste, currently in 3 scents: Party Nights, Dawn Till Dusk, and my fav Hazy Days. The Tesco price being £1.50/150ml, it is a touch cheaper than its rival, but I like to have both in my hair kit...!
ps - Girlz Only have recently released blonde, brunette and XXL volume ranges too - I'll keep you posted when I have tried them out!

Venus Naked Skin part 1
Venus have recently launched a new IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) product designed to reduce hair growth and asked if I fancied trying it out.
You first need to prepare the area you wish to treat - legs, bikini line, under arms, stomach (wherever you want to remove hair from really) by shaving and popping on layer of the activation gel. You then have to test your skin type, by using the attachment. This automatically sets the level for you, so there is no fiddling about to do! Then you pop the window on to the skin and press the button, then repeating on the rest of the area.
How it works
It is really important that you shave first - as the IPL targets the melanin pigment which gives the colouring in the hair, but if dark hair is on the surface of the skin, this can cause the surface of the skin to absorb the light and become hot and may cause damage. This also affects who can use this treatment, working best on pale skin with dark hair - as the skin doesn't contain much of the absorbing melanin, but the hair does. The IPL caused the hair follicle to remain in a non-growth phase which is how is works as a hair removal system. for the first 3-6 months you need to repeat every 2 weeks, but then you only need to use every month or so to keep the hairs in the sleepy non-growth state.
How its has worked for me
So far I have used the system twice, I was really expecting it to be hot or hurt but have found that it is completely pain free - only getting hot if you used it for a prolonged period. The first time I tried it out I did all of my legs, but took forever, so now I have gone for smaller areas which is super quick and you don't get the heating issues! I have found that hair has grown back slower than usual, and I'm excited about the upcoming months when I'm hoping re-growth will be minimal - I'll keep you posted!
When you use the device the window leaves and imprint in the gel so it is easy to see where you have treated and what you have left to do - this has been an issue with other devices I've seen reviews of on other blogs.
The system comes in a neat white faux-leather case which houses the system, power leads and activation gel ( you receive 2 x 100ml tubes with the device) which is cute and no-one will know what it is!
The cost
Venus Naked Skin is a large payment initially (£449.99 on Boots.com although add discount code: VENUS for a £100 discount!) but if you usually get a wax at £20-30 a time it will pay for itself over time and is much cheaper than getting professionally IPL treatment and you can do it at your own convenience.

Palmolive Ayurituel Shower Gels
Palmolive's new range of shower gels have been inspired by the ancient Indian tradition of Ayurveda, followed by celebs such as Madonnas, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston.
Ayurveda describes three patterns of energy that are required for a healthy lifestyle, which have been used to formulate Palmolive's new collections.
Being obsessed with ginger, it was unsurprising that my favourite shower time treat is 'Energy', as it is combined with sandalwood for an uplifting aroma.
'Joyous' combines Lotus Flower and Mulberry whereas 'Tranquility' is a fusion of Indian Neem and Patchouli to calm the senses.
I do really love the different aromas, they smell like you have entered a gorgeous Indian Spa, however, the gels are the standard viscosity you would expect so lack the luxurious feel I was hoping for. However, at £2.99/250ml is a perfect everyday number.

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Creams
The washing up over the festivities and cold temperatures may have been causing your paws to becoming dry and tight over the last month or so, but I have been keeping mine super happy with Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Creams that I was sent just before christmas to celebrate their 40th birthday.
My little pressie included the new Norwegian Formula Nourishing Hand Cream with Nordic Berry (£4.09/75ml). Which spells yummy due to the berries complemented with apple, red fruit, rose and bergamot. The texture is light and non-greasy resulting in quick absorption and instant relief from sore dry hands.
The lovely ladies at Neutrogena also sent me their Norwegian Formula Concentrated Hand Cream (£3.78/50ml) their hero product, one is sold every five seconds! Which I keep in my bedside table and pop on before I get my beauty sleep.

Nails of the day: nails inc - The Thames
Santa popped this little beauty into my stocking this year and is the perfect antidote to the yule time richness and sparkles that have been adorning nail nails the past month or more. The blue-green tones in the grey stop the shade looking murky, even if the name of the shade - The Thames - would suggest otherwise!
Nails Inc is one of my trusted nail brand as the colours last really well and don't chip easily - ive spent all day pulling up the other type of nails and filling a skip and they are atill looking frshly painted. Result! £11/10ml
