Apres Ski Drinks

Although we chilled out in the chalet most evenings on our recent ski holiday (see my posts on my ski outfit and chalet style) we did head out to the piste-side bars in Val Thorens for early evening pre-baby bedtime drinks a few times.

As we had babies and great-grandma to collect we all de-rigged from our ski gear before heading out again. This meant we could get more comfortable - especially in the foot department! Sophie’s Grandma and Great-Grandma were very sensible and found themselves boots with metal grips so they won’t slip on the ice, however, I opted for Helly Hansen W Garibaldi boots which had really goo rubber grip instead - which felt really secure on the slippery snow and ice as well. The waterproof leather and faux fur looked fabulous and kept my feet snug and dry to boot (!) which was amazing after a day in tight ski-boots.

My duvet coat which I bought about 5 years ago from Monsoon was the order of the day - down to my knees I am always so smug wearing it on cold days as it is amazing at keeping me warm, such an investment. I wore it with my coated jeans from Warehouse and my faux fur bobble hat for Ochre boutique in my home town of Weybridge.

After a few snaps of my outfit I settled down to watch the sunset sipping cheeky glass of bubbles laughing about our day on the slopes.
