Clarins Opalescence Spring Make-up Collection

Its OFFICIALLY summertime! Whoop Whoop! So in make-up excitement, that also means a whole load of spring make up collections arriving in store. Clairns is such a fail-safe as I tend to adore all of their products, nothing too daring and always beautifully packaged. If you watched my March Favourites video post, I was wearing all of this collection.

When the little red boxes landed through the post box last week, what struck me was how stunning the finish was on the Eye Quartet Mineral Palette and the Face & Blush Powder, it almost seemed criminal to use them, but somehow I managed...

My favourite product is the Eye Quartet Mineral Palette(£31), as I am a sucker for a plum eye shadow. The shadows can be used dry, as shown in my swatches, or dampen the applicator for a more intense look. The top left pale pink is a pretty base, then add the bottom right grey shade to give definition. I think the plum (bottom left) looks striking used as a soft eye liner and the white pearly shadow (top right) as a highlighter. The palette also comes with suggested instructions of where to use the different shades, or just have fun working it out for yourself.

The Face and Blush Powder (£30) adds a warm tone to the skin, but for me is neither a bronzer or a blush - but I do like to go strong in both of those products, so I think it would be more suited to a more natural look, but it is so pretty, and the pink holographic lid is really gorgeous too.

As a lover of blush and bright lips, it will come as little surprise that I like the Multi-Blush Cream Blush in peach  (£18) and the Joli Rouge Brilliant Sheer Shine Lipstick in tropical pink (£18). Both look a lot brighter in the packaging, you need to layer it up if you want the same effect on your skin, which allows you to build up the look you are comfortable with.

Here is a little snap of me wearing all of the products, which, as I mentioned, I was also wearing on my March Favourites video post.
