Hair trends from the catwalk

As the fash pack are front-rowing in NYC for fashion week, the beauty buffs are noting the hair and cosmetic trends on the catwalk and getting the key looks for next summer.

Luckily, help is at hand from top hair stylist Priscilla Thenberg from Gina Conway Aveda Salon and Spas to talk us through how we'll be styling our locks in 2012.

"At the moment it’s all about 60’s updos where texture and volume are particularly key, but also we’re seeing 60’s style ponytails, plaits and undercurrents of androgony, blurring the boy/girl lines with suits and imperfect quiffs"

So its chalk and cheese with 'just rolled out of bed' up dos and sleek and chic ponys and plaits. My advice: bulk buy the dry shampoo to help you achieve the texture and volume and you'll need for the former and pre-heat your GHDs and you'll be needing norishing leave-in conditioners like Moroccan Oil and shine spray to achieve the sleek and sofisticated ponys and plaits.
