Super soft silky hair is no longer reserved for the models advertising the latest shampoo, due to the introduction of hair oils. A few days ago TRESemme launched their offering: Oil Elixir (£9.99/100ml). Containing Macadamia and Babassu oils which are rapidly absorbed into the hair to give super smooth locks with zero grease at it smells A-MA-ZING.
Earlier this week I attended the launch event and met TRESemme's lead stylist Matthew Curtis (who does all the hair on Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model) and he gave me a few tips on using Elixir Oil. He suggested using it in 3 different ways, as a prewash - massaging the oil into dry hair prior to shampooing to give extra protection, pre-styling - smoothing a few drops through washed, damp hair to get a super smooth blow dry and finally post-styling to tame away any flyaways and give extra shine. At the event, Matthew's right hand lady styled my hair, into relaxed waves and used Oil Elixir in its post-styling role (limited basins on hotel roof terraces!) and i totally loved it!
This morning I've also tried the oil, using all three steps and dried straight. I really love the product and it is a lot more luxurious than I was expecting at under £10, as I mentioned the fragrance is opulent and packaged in a glass bottle makes it feel more high-end too.
