Last week NARS launched their new dual intensity eyeshadows at the Broadwick Street Space NK Store and I headed down to have a play with the twelve shades. What first struck me was just how intense they are, I should have guessed this from the name really, but even a tiny amount of the product is really covering, most giving a shimmery opaque finish. If you use the products with a damp brush, you can get an even more intense and pigmented finish, which would be perfect for using the product as an eye liner.
One of the NARS make up artists popped some of the shadows on me, suggesting the purple shades (Pheobe and Subra) to complement my green eyes. I loved the result, but was definitely more of an evening look, as I prefer a more subtle look during the day and this week I've been sweeping Dione or Callisto across my lids for a luxe day look, and I think Dione - a metallic champagne beige - would look fabulous with any colour eyes and skin tone. The packaging is sleek and stylish in the little matte black compact and the magnetic close is really satisfying. At £21 each, they are a luxury, but as you only use a tiny amount, the shadow will last for ages.
